The final in my series of the seasons.
Started work on Autumn as soon as I was done with Winter. Since I was so pleased with the way Summer turned out, I decided to use the same techniques with Autumn. I am using the 24″ Armature with her and building her from the inside out. I’m starting with the skeleton and sculpting each bone, then I’m going to add the muscles and finally the flesh. I learned so much from the ecorche’ of Summer. I’m sure I will learn even more with Autumn.
My reference model for this piece is a pose from PoseSpace – Lynetteb026 (seen in the photo above). As with Winter, I will also be paying attention to overall composition and incorporating elements of the divine proportions. I’ve also switched to using Monster Clay as the medium. It is far superior to the J-Mac I was using before! It is soft and pliable under a heat lamp, wax hard when cold, holds detail like nothing I’ve used before, and doesn’t stick to my tools at all!
